The Account Manager of Municipalities is responsible for governmental organizations in cities and towns. These governmental organizations are digitally transforming their financial operations, and the Account Manager role is at the leading edge of this transformation journey with our customers.

What you'll do:

· Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships

· Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals

· Work with sales and other internal teams to develop strategic marketing plans and ensure KPIs are being met

· Arrange meetings with customers and sell product offerings.

· Conduct effective sales presentations on the company's product line in response to the unique needs of each customer

· Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients

· Drive high customer retention and high year-over-year customer satisfaction rates by executing win/win strategies for contract renewals and add-on product sales that maximize contract value while protecting and enhancing the customer relationship

· Execute all phases of the upsell/cross-sell lifecycle, including communication, negotiation, revisions to terms and conditions, obtaining contract signatures, and filing the appropriate paperwork to maximize account growth and retention/renewals when applicable.

· Accurately maintain a forecast of add-on sales and renewals

· Work with customers to understand their unique goals and processes as well as provide knowledge of our solutions to the customer, uncover roadblocks, and deliver strong account management capabilities

· Identify, clearly communicate, and manage risk throughout the year through proactive touch points and take the lead in developing resolution strategies

· Collaborate with internal resources by providing important customer feedback, process-improvement suggestions, and new troubleshooting tips to develop comprehensive 'win' strategies

What you'll bring:

· 5+ years of demonstrated success in a sales or account management capacity (ideally in the target market) with a strong focus on upselling and cross-selling.

· Technical competence, including a general understanding of IT and financial software.

· A 4-year degree and/or 5+ years of industry experience

· Proven analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting expertise

· Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure

· Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required

· Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively explain a solution to a customer's problems

· Detailed, organized, and results-oriented

· Ability to learn and assimilate technical information quickly

· Enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude

· Hubspot or Salesforce experience is a plus
